Quietly Raging

I bet you didn't know, how long it would last
You must have thought time would heal, the way that we feel
And we'd forget about the past
But time has a way of making us pay
For the things that we hide in our soul
And in the midst of our lives the time finally arrives
When we quietly stop and go out of control
Out of control, on a course with collision
Headed for hell, or a similar region
Too many miles on a road weary soul
Quietly raging out of control
I bet you didn't know, that we were changing things forever
You must have felt in your heart, we'd never part for very long
Then again, maybe never
But each day has a way of making us pay
For the feelings we hide in our soul
And in the midst of our lives the time finally arrives
When we quietly stop and go out of control
Out of control, on a course with collision
Headed for hell, or a similar region
Too many miles on a road weary soul
Quietly raging out of control
I bet you didn't know
There's people out there everywhere, just quietly raging
To many miles I guess on a road weary soul
You can see it in their eyes
It's our brothers and our sisters
Out of control
I bet you didn't know, there never is a sure way
You must have thought time would move, and the water would smooth
And I'd begin to see it your way
But each way has a way of making us pay
For the things hidden deep in our soul
And in the midst of our lives the time finally arrives
When we quietly stop and go out of control
Out of control, on a course with collision
Headed for hell, or a similar region
Too many miles on a road weary soul
Quietly raging out of control
Quietly raging out of control
Just settle down there, take it easy
